SELECTIVE PALLET RACK

Pallet-Rack-Components (diagram)

Pallet racking is available in both roll-formed and structural rack, and the basic components of every pallet rack system are the upright frames and load beams. An upright frame has two columns connected by bracing that runs diagonally and horizontally. The pallet racks upright posts are punched with holes in the shape of a teardrop or T-bolt shape for beams to lock into. Interchangeable pallet rack is adjustable on 2” vertical centers and T-bolt racking is adjustable on 3” vertical centers.

Selective Rack, also known as Teardrop, is an interlocking design with teardrop shaped punching on 2” centers along the face of the upright column.  Teardrop upright frames can interchange with pallet rack from an existing warehouse expansion, add-ons or replace damaged shelving. A selective rack can be set up as stand-alone, back-to-back using row spacers, as well as double deep reach configurations.

Pallet Rack - Interchangeable BeamInterchangeable beams attach to the teardrop-shaped keyholes of the upright with a locking device known as “Gravity Lock”. The gravity lock pin replaces older spring style locking pins that get damaged or lost if beams are changed out.

Interchangeable pallet rack uprights are available in a variety of sizes and capacities, in both open and closed tube designs. Superpost closed tube uprights offer 30%-40% greater load capacities than same-gauge open-back design uprights and resist frontal impact up to five times more than a structural column.

T-Bolt & Structural Racks

T-Bolt Pallet Rack is a rigid & reliable, bolted design that saves time & money and doesn’t require installers to reach inside the column.

The T-bolt head simply inserts through the beam connector & column and a quarter turn locks it into place, the nut is tightened from the front of the T-bolt punched upright. The front-end-only connection offers the structural strength of bolting with the fastest installation in the industry. T-bolt style uprights are punched on 3” vertical centers.

Structural Racks are designed with high-strength structural steel C-Channels for added strength and rigidity.  Available in 3″ and 4″ upright posts with sturdy structural steel bracing and heavy-duty structural beams range from 3″ to 6″ in height to meet the most demanding environments and load criteria. Structural pallet racks are designed to prevent damage from forklift misusage.  The posts and beams are constructed from structural steel and are much thicker than roll-formed posts, particularly at the corners which are the key impact points.
